Delaware Concealed Carry Course

$200 | 8 Hours

This course is for those looking to carry a concealed weapon in Delaware (residents and non-residents*). It’s also a great option for anybody who owns a firearm regardless of experience. We’ll cover what every gun owner needs to know: firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, state and federal law covering ownership, transportation, storage, use of force, and more.

This is a one day course beginning with four hours of classroom lecture and practical exercises using our interactive shooting simulator at our Headquarters in Middletown, DE. All students will then attend a four hour live-fire range session at Schrader's Outdoors in Henderson, MD to qualify.

*Delaware residents may apply for a Delaware Concealed Carry of a Deadly Weapon (CCDW) License while non-Delaware residents may use this course to apply for a Florida and/or Arizona permit which would allow them to carry concealed while in Delaware. Students who receive their home-state permit may also then apply for a Pennsylvania permit. Delaware residents may also use this course to apply for the upcoming Handgun Qualified Purchaser Permit which will, when implemented, be required to purchase a handgun in DE.

Maryland Concealed Carry Course

$150 | 8 Hours (16 Hours Total - Requires Our DE Course First)

This course is for those looking to carry a concealed weapon in Maryland (residents and non-residents*). Maryland requires sixteen hours of training and given the similarities between the topics covered for both Delaware and Maryland, our Delaware course counts as the first eight hours of training. You must complete our eight hour DE course before taking this additional training course.

This second day of training will be held at our Headquarters in Middletown, DE with classroom lecture and our in-depth use of force simulator.

If you already have your Maryland Wear & Carry Permit and require refresher training for your renewal application, register here for renewal training. Renewal training will be one day in the classroom and a separately scheduled range trip. We will contact you to discuss available range times.

*Both Maryland residents and non-residents may apply for a Maryland Wear & Carry Permit. Maryland residents may also use this course to apply for a Handgun Qualification License (HQL) which is required to purchase a handgun in MD.

New Jersey Concealed Carry Course

$150 | 2 Hours

This course is for those looking to carry a concealed weapon in New Jersey (residents and non-residents*). We’ll cover all the topics as required by New Jersey’s Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Evaluation (CCARE) Protocol.

This is a two hour live-fire course conducted entirely on the range at Schrader's Outdoors in Henderson, MD.

This is NOT a beginner course; students are expected to have and must demonstrate a solid understanding of firearms safety and shooting fundamentals as well as operational knowledge of THEIR firearm. Prior to the qualification portion, instructors will conduct a brief refresher on safety, drawing from concealment, course qualification requirements and state-specific legal topics.

Defensive Pistol Course

$175 | 4 Hours

This course is for those looking to build upon their pistol shooting skills and learn advanced techniques. Instruction consists of four hours of range time at Schrader's Outdoors in Henderson, MD. Attendance is limited to four students allowing for individualized attention from our instructors. Some of the topics covered during this course include:

  • Proper Gear Selection & Placement

  • Ready Positions

  • One & Two Handed Holster Draw

  • One & Two Handed Reloads

  • One & Two Handed Malfunction Clearing

  • Retention Shooting

  • Shooting While Moving & From Cover

This is NOT a beginner course; students are expected to have a solid understanding of firearms safety and shooting fundamentals as well as operational knowledge of THEIR firearm.

Private Range Session

$150 | 2 Hours

If you’re looking to expand your knowledge and proficiency with a firearm, you can schedule a two hour range session at Schrader's Outdoors in Henderson, MD with one of our instructors. This session will be tailored to you allowing for growth regardless of your skill level. Whether you’ve never fired a gun before or you’ve been carrying a firearm for years, we’ll spend time working on areas that need improvement.

  • Residents of Delaware can apply for a DE license. Non-residents of Delaware can take our Delaware course and use it to apply for a Florida and/or Arizona permit which would allow them to carry while in DE.

  • Both residents and non-residents of Maryland can apply for a MD license.

  • Both residents and non-residents of New Jersey can apply for a NJ license.

  • The State of Maryland requires sixteen (16) hours of training. As Maryland and Delaware require a lot of the same material, our eight (8) hour Delaware course satisfies the first half of the training requirement for Maryland.

    Please note that we cannot provide credit towards previous courses taken from other instructors. You must have completed our Delaware Course within a reasonable amount of time prior to taking our Maryland Add-On Course.

  • Absolutely! Our DE & MD carry courses are designed to accommodate students who have zero experience with firearms and those with years of experience. We’ll go through everything in a classroom setting and use our interactive shooting simulator before you ever step foot on a range. You can also book a Private Range Session if you prefer an individual experience to build up your skills before taking a carry course.

    Our NJ carry course does however require a solid understanding of firearms safety and shooting fundamentals prior to attending.

  • You’ll need a firearm*, at least two magazines, ammunition**, eye protection, hearing protection, hydration and climate appropriate clothing. Holsters are only required for our Defensive Pistol Course and New Jersey Permit to Carry Course.

    *Minimum Caliber: Greater Than .22

    **Ammunition: 100rds of Factory Ammunition (200rds for the Advanced Pistol Course)
